Thanks 1up

An editor over at 1up managed to describe my main problem with Final Fantasy VIII in a way that I was never able to really explain well, because I really enjoyed that game, despite the whole ridiculous plot twist.

"Example: We're all having the same eerily-realistic dreams about the not-too-distant past? Eh, best not to talk about it until the dramatic truth can be shockingly revealed by a third party. Example 2: Oh, hey guys: we all grew up together, and the woman we're currently trying to snuff out raised us. I meant to tell you this before, but -- well -- the situation never came up. Sorry. My bad."

Other than that it was cool, I thought! :p

Most insane dance routine I've ever seen.

If you haven't seen this routine from the US Naval Academy’s King Firecrackers, I ask that you check it out because I'm pretty sure you will be amazed. It's a good 8 minutes of epic. Very epic.

My iPod finally kicked the bucket about 2 hours ago ago.

I've had this thing ever since the 4th Generation iPods hit the shelves so it's been about 4 years, but it's still a sad day for me considering I haven't had an iPod or any other mp3 player since. Luckily Jenna gave me her 120 GB iPod classic a while ago that I've never used, it's just sad to see the old one go. Now I have to lug all of my music onto that thing when I get back, which is going to be a trial in itself.

Still frustrating that there's a lot of music on there that I didn't have on my computer after getting my own laptop. Not that I remember all of the songs, even. Off to make a list for transferring when I get back to Orange County...

(Oh yeah, my laptop charger died today too.)

I decided to make fried rice with egg for dinner, along with some fishsticks prepared via the oven.

Halfway through fishstick cooking they tell you to open up the oven and turn the sticks over so they don't end up black on one side and all squishy on the other. I am doing so and realize I left the fire on the stove going and my rice is gonna get burnt. As I turn it off I turn back around to see Winston jump onto the oven door, give a little meow and run the hell off of it in the opposite direction. I now have a kitty with hot paws, not the best fried rice I've ever made, and fish sticks that are burnt on only one side. -_-

To me, this video perfectly describes what the internet has become for my generation.

My car was fixed in record time. Dropped it off at 9 am, and he finished it for me by 1. The new top gets put on tomorrow and I'll be free of all that hassle. I am very much looking forward to no more holes, tape, and staples having to be put on my damn top.

Off to pick it up now!

I missed this. Jenna found a news article where apparently Texas' state rep. Betty Brown decided that Asian Americans need to adopt a name that we could deal with more readily here?”?, and then proceeded to tell Organization of Chinese Americans representative Ramey Ko just that.

*sigh* -_-

Dragonball Evolution

This about sums it up quite nicely.

Pros: Might be fun when you're hammered and surrounded by friends. Or suicidal, and need something to push you over the edge.
Cons: Basically everything.

If anybody wants to help me pick up the broken pieces of my childhood, I'll be over there sobbing in the corner.

Today went really well at the school. I ended up having the entire classroom to myself without Mrs. Weller there for the last 3 classes, one of which was empty. It was fun =] I'm glad I got the experience. The kids actually listen to me too, which really works out. Plus I got a free soda cup at Chipotle today when Jenna and I picked up the house's order. I used it to get some iced tea.

and I cannot believe that Mega64 talked Hideo Kojima into doing this. Made my week.

So last night I went into overdrive wrote 2 papers, a mini report, did 2 essay revisions for other people, made 5 somewhat long postings in my classes, and managed to multi task and watch a half hour long video on Autism all in a little over an hour and a half.

I felt like the man after that.

Also, I got some Bleach fighting game for the PSP because I heard it was really great, and it's incredibly fun. The only thing is there's 70 or so characters to play as and I only know who Ichigo is, and I kinda know the guy with the hat because he's Brian's avatar on here. I never read Bleach >.< so I don't know who I'm playing as or fighting ever. Oh yeah and the sun was great yesterday :) I was outside for quite a while, and got a little color too.
